Tournament Format

1.

All games will be played using Madden 2011 for the Sony Playstation 3 or XBOX 360.
You MUST bring  your own controller.

2.

Pre-lims are double elimination 3 minute quarters.  Win two games in pre-lims and you advance to the playoffs.

Championship Tournament

 Pre-lims are single elimination!! 4 min Quarters

32 players will Qualify for playoffs

Playoffs are single elimination 4 minute quarters.

3.

You may use any of the normal 32 NFL teams.
No special teams may be used (All Madden, Throwbacks, etc.).

4.

You ARE ALLOWED to change teams during the tournament.
You CAN also change your PlayBook at anytime during the Tournament.

5.

All games will be played on a 20" or larger HD Flat Panel.

6.

Memory cards are not allowed!

Game Settings

1.

Updated roster will be used.
Game Speed is Normal

Conventional Play Calling will be used as Default setting

Auto Sprint is Optional

Auto Strafe is Optional
All-Madden level is set to All-Madden.
All-Pro level is set to All-Pro
AI levels are default.

Fatigue is on

Injuries is on

2.

Random Weather ON all the way until the Championship Game.
Random Weather OFF for the Championship Game.

3.

Substitution settings

QB for QB only

RB and FB are interchangeable

WR for TE,WR only

TE or FB at TE

Defensive Secondary is interchangeable

LB's and DE's are interchangeable

 Defensive Line  interchangeable

Formation Packages are the only exception for these rules. At any time if you feel someone is breaking these rules please inform a KOTC judge immediately!!

Audibles and substitutions can only be changed  before the game, at halftime, or if you use a timeout.  

4.

If you pause the game (using the START button), you must burn a timeout as a penalty. If you have no timeouts left, you will be required to take a penalty (delay of game for offense, or offsides for defense).    

In the event of an outage of power, accidental unplugging, system freeze or some other event not in either player's control that would not allow the participants to finish the game, the game will be restarted. Game will continue, the game will  match the score, posession, and settings as best that we can.

Game Rules 

1.

There is no blocked Punts, FG's or XP's.  NO EXCEPTIONS! 

Remember if this happens you must pause the game immediately and call for a KOTC judge to come and review the play.  DO NOT take the liberty of reviewing the play before contacting a judge. 

2.

If you feel that your opponent is cheating, notify a judge. The judge's decision is final!

3.

At no time may you audible out of a formation unless a QB is at the QB position!!!

4.

Use Of Hurry Up Offense - The use of the hurry offense after an incomplete pass is prohibited

Remember, once this happens you must pause the game immediately and call for a KOTC judge to come and review the play.  DO NOT take the liberty of reviewing the play before contacting a judge. 

Penalties for breaking this rule:
Timeout or delay of game for each offense.  

5.

Onside Kicks - The use of onside kicks are prohibited unless you are losing the game.  You are only allowed to recover 1 on-side kick per game.

CONDUCT

1.

Trash-talking should NOT be in a violet nature and please refrain from using "in-your-face" foul language. Also, please be respectful of all other players. The judges have final say over what is "respectful", and you may be disqualified from the tournament if you do not cooperate. No Refund!!

2.

Narcotic use of any kind is not permitted in the tournament arena.

3.

No sideline coaching is allowed. You may cheer or boo as the game progresses (and you're encouraged to do so), but you may not offer advice to anyone playing a game.

4.

If you are more than 10 minutes late to a game's posted time, you forfeit that game.

5.

If a player purposely turns off a game while it is in progress, that player will forfeit that game.

6.

No verbal or physical threats of violence to other tournament participants. This will result in your immediate disqualification from the tournament. No Refund!!

LIABILITY

1.

We are not responsible for property stolen, broken or lost during the tournament.

2.

All decisions by Judges about any aspect of the tournament is final.

ADDITIONAL IN-GAME RULES

1.

We reserve the right to add additional rules at anytime during the Tournament especially if a glitch is found.
